Full time practice will include a qualified primary technician and assistant, with additional staffing added as the service grows and expands. Clinical Instructor-Veterinary Dentistry and Oral Surgery

Degree and area of specialization: DVM or equivalent

Minimum number of years and type of relevant work experience: Advanced training in dentistry and oral surgery required. Board certified or board eligible in the American Veterinary Dental College (AVDC) or European Veterinary Dental College (EVDC) is necessary.

License or Certificate: Must maintain a Wisconsin License to practice veterinary medicine.

Position Summary: This is a full-time clinical instructor position in the Veterinary Dentistry and Oral Sugery section with the Department of Surgical Sciences. This position will be part of a current team of two AVDC diplomates and three residents providing clinical service to teh dentistry and oral surgery section within the Small Animal Hospital of UW Veterinary Care on the UW Madison Campus. The annual case load for the small animal hospital is over 24,000 patients with 4-5 dental and /or orofacial procedures performed daily.

Additional Information: If needed, study time for the AVDC examination will be provided. Candidates demonstrating expertise or interest in expanding the veterinary dentistry and oral surgery service's clinical service offerings to zoological or equine patients is supported and encouraged, but not required. Summit Veterinary Referral Center is not your typical state of the art 24 hour emergency and specialty center. We hold morning cage-side rounds. We employ a veterinary social worker for client and staff support, 3 days per week. Our DVM team is outstanding and genuinely enjoys cross-service collaboration. The Angell Animal Medical Center (AAMC) in Boston, MA is seeking applicants for a veterinary dentist. Our Dentistry Service team is currently is comprised of a board certified dentist, two additional doctors with practice limited to dentistry, 4 seasoned dental technicians and a secretary. We are seeking a second board certified dentist. We have a newly renovated dental suite with state of the art equipment.

Angell, founded in 1915, is recognized internationally as a leader in animal medicine and reputation as one of the finest veterinary teaching hospitals in North America. Angell serves the greater Boston and scenic New England area as a primary care facility, a 24-hour emergency hospital, and as a tertiary referral center. We are staffed by 55 senior veterinarians, 17 interns, and 13 residents, who treat over 70,000 animals a year. This is where to be if you want a busy and diverse caseload.
