Seeking Veterinary Dentist for Upper West Side NYC Practice

Gotham Veterinary Center and Canine Rehab of New York are located on the upper west side of New York City. We are seeking either a Diplomate of the American Veterinary Dental College or a veterinarian completing their residency in dentistry and oral surgery to work either full or part time in our hospital.

We are an AAHA certified general practice with 5 full time veterinarians. We have been offering dental services for 10 years but we would like to expand our services with a veterinary dentist. The practice strongly supports dental care and we have a clientele that expects and appreciates quality dentistry and oral surgery. We have over 10,000 active clients and we can offer dentals 4 days a week. We currently schedule between 3 and 4 dentals each day depending on the complexity of the cases and we have a waiting list for appointments for dental procedures.

The hospital has a separate dental suite with dedicated dental software, digital dental radiography and a high-speed dental system including fiber optics and built in piezo electric scaler. A full time technician monitors anesthesia and assists dentist with all procedures. Purchasing additional equipment to allow expansion of our services is not a problem.

The hospital is a full service hospital and has overnight care and a very dedicated staff. We provide both medical and surgical services (soft tissue and orthopedics). The rehabilitation center has been open for 4 1/2 years with two Certified Canine Rehabilitation Professionals and provides rehab care 5 days a week.

We have a comprehensive benefits package including health care (50% covered by the practice), a contributory 401K-pension plan and a very generous continuing education budget. Salary is negotiable. Study time would be provided for a veterinary dental resident studying for board certification.

Veterinary Dentist/Oral Surgeon Position in New Mexico

Veterinary Dentistry and Oral Surgery of New Mexico, LLC is seeking a board-certified or boardeligible veterinary dentist to join our team. The practice is a privately-owned AHAA-referral accredited facility. We are currently a two-and-1/2 doctor practice with four RVT’s, one vet assistant, and three support staff. At Veterinary Dentistry and Oral Surgery of New Mexico, LLC we strive to maintain a positive, fun work environment where our employees can excel in a supportive setting. We desire a skilled, assertive, and compassionate specialist who is selfreliant but also works well as part of a team. The ideal candidate is passionate about all aspects of small animal dentistry and oral surgery and enjoys client relations as well as building relationships with the referring veterinary community and teaching (through our continuing education business, Practical Veterinary Dentistry, LLC).

The clinic is newly remodeled and is equipped with four procedure stations. Advanced technology is an integral part of this clinic’s everyday practices. Our diagnostic equipment includes Xoran cone beam computed tomography, digital dental radiography, in house hematology and chemistry analyzers, and a therapeutic laser. All of our anesthetic monitors and dental charts are iPad-integrated, allowing us to be a paper-light practice.

Veterinary Dentistry shares space with the Animal Neurology and Imaging Center, allowing access to magnetic resonance imaging, standard computed tomography, standard digital radiography, and staffed overnight care. Our facility also works closely with a board-certified anesthesiologist, allowing us to offer her monitoring skills for patients who pose higher anesthetic risks.

We are centrally located, approximately halfway between Santa Fe, the state capital, and Albuquerque, the largest city in the state. New Mexico has a moderate climate and is known for its constant sunshine and abundant array of outdoor activities throughout all four seasons, including snow sports! It offers diverse cultural experiences and a lower than average cost of living. We work four 10-hour days, allowing for ample time to enjoy activities outside of work. Our employment package includes a competitive salary with bonuses, full benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, 401k, paid vacation and CE time, continuing education stipend, annual uniform allowance, license and association fees, and a monthly gym membership allowance.

You are encouraged to apply if you are a veterinary dentist dedicated to achieving the highest level of medicine and ethics, possess excellent communication, teaching and leadership skills, and want to work in a collaborative, team-oriented environment dedicated to helping animals and clients as well as other veterinarians and their staff.

If you are interested in more information about joining our team, please contact Kris Bannon, DVM, FAVD, DAVDC at or call/text 505-660-5947. We look forward to it!
